Church of the Most Holy Redeemer

Come to the island of Giudecca to discover the Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore, the epicentre of the festival held on the third Sunday in July when the city is festooned and decorated in commemoration of the victory over the plague.

Ca' Dario

If you can muster up the courage, pay a visit to Ca' Dario, a palace which cursed everyone who lived there, according to Venetian legend; since its construction in the 16th century, its owners have had the worst luck.

Rialto Bridge

It was built between 1588 and 1591 by Antonio da Ponte, whose project was chosen over those of other architects including Michelangelo. A number of bridges were built to cross the Grand Canal since the 12th century, but all collapsed. It is one of the icons of Venice.
