Sushirrito is exactly as it sounds: a cross between sushi and burrito. Asian cuisine with Mexican technique, in other words, the definitive gastronomic fusion. Peter Yen had the idea when he realized there was nowhere to eat good, fast sushi in downtown San Francisco. During the first two months after it opened, lines of people waited an hour to get their sushirritos of unlikely ingredients. There are now several central locations.
