What’s the best way to get around Rome?

To simplify your visit, you can purchase a Roma Pass ( lasting 48 hours (€28) or three days (€36). The pass includes access to all public transport, tickets to one or three museums and discounts.

What are general opening times?

Shops open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00. They are open for longer in tourist areas. Museums open from 08.30 to 19.30 and they are usually closed on Mondays.

How much does a taxi cost from the airport?

A taxi from Fiumicino airport to Ostiense station costs €48 and to Tiburtina station it costs €55. From Ciampino airport it costs €30 to get to Ostiense station and €35 to get to Tiburtina station. The maximum capacity is four people and they have a taximeter.

Is there public transport from the airport?

From Fiumicino airport the best option is the Leonardo Express train, which travels to Términi station every half an hour for €14. From Ciampino you have to take a bus and a train to get to Términi.
