Birla MandirThe temple of all castes
The Birla Mandir, also known as Laxmi Narayan, was built in 1939 by industrialist J.K. Birla and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi to welcome people of all castes of India. Its architecture and size are not of the magnitude of other New Delhi temples, but it is a highly popular place of worship. It comprises a high altar and various secondary shrines, a number of chanting halls and gardens with relaxing aquatic sounds.
