BharatpurBird sanctuary
Belonging to the state of Rayastán, Bharatpur is visited by thousands of tourists who come to see the Lohagarh Fort and other monuments. But what attracts even more attention is the Keoladeo Ghana National Park: a paradise for bird-lovers and nature enthusiasts in general. The almost 30-square kilometre area is mostly swamp and home to more than 300 bird species, some, like the Siberian crane, in danger of extinction, as well as hundreds of fish, reptiles and turtles.
