Rostov is a small city in the Yaroslavl region, on the banks of Lake Nero, and a little more than 200 kilometres east of Moscow. It is part of the famous Golden Ring tourist route and covers just over 32 km2. It contains a glorious monumental complex whose centre is the stunning historical Rostov Kremlin. Don’t leave without visiting the Cathedral Square and the Abran and Yakovlevsky monasteries. And make sure you stroll around the peaceful, picturesque streets.
