Lomonosov State UniversityOne of Stalin’s skyscrapers
The oldest university in the entire Russian Federation dates from the mid-18th century. Since 1958, its home has been in the tallest of the so-called Seven Sisters, the skyscrapers built by Stalin. The Gothic-style Stalinist building is impressive, with a 34-floor main tower that soars 240 metres high. This central tower is flanked by four huge wings that house the different faculties.
