Monument to the HolocaustA frightening past

In 1984, a small group of survivors of the Holocaust came together to design a monument to pay homage to the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. The location is not random: Miami Beach is home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the United States. Particularly moving is the bronze hand, which is 13m high and scaled by hundreds of human sculptures.
