Walls of the MedinaGuardian of the Old Town
The ramparts around Marrakech stretch for 19km. Built in 1132, during the Almoravid era, they were clearly a defensive measure. They were later extended by the Almohads and the Saadies. Today, there are more than 200 towers and 10 Moorish-Hispanic style gates, all well worth a visit.
