The MedinaThe life, heart and soul of Marrakech

Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1985, it is the heart and historical centre of the city. Its nucleus is the Jamaa el Fna Plaza, the main public space of Marrakech, to the north of which are the souks. The Medina is surrounded by a perfectly preserved wall and is the ideal place to stay if you want close contact with tradition. Most of the hotels and ‘riads’ are located here.
