Getting Around

The Metrolink tram system serves Manchester city centre and its surroundings. Trams run frequently from 6am to 12am. Tickets for individual journeys, as well as day passes and family passes, can be purchased at any Metrolink stop.

Metroshuttle Bus Service

A free bus service connects all the main Manchester railway stations and most of the main tourist sites. Metroshuttle stops include Piccadilly Railway Station, Shudehill Interchange, Manchester University and Deansgate.

Commercial Hours

Most shops open at 9am or 10am Monday to Saturday and on 11am on Sundays and Public Holidays. They will then close at 6pm, though many places stay open until 9pm on Thursdays.
