StonehengeThe mystery of the stone circle
Nobody really knows what the ancient stones forming Stonehenge are nor how they got there. The answer lies 5,000 years in the past. But the mystery doesn’t prevent us from appreciating the magic of the World Heritage megalithic monument, a circle of blocks of stone weighing 40 tonnes each. Although it is well-protected, every June thousands come to touch the stones for the summer solstice. It can be visited the rest of the year as well.
