How do I get to Lanzarote?

By plane: Guacimeta airport, 5km from Arrecife, the island’s capital. By boat: the two main ports are Puerto de los Mármoles, in Arrecife, and Puerto de Playa Blanca, to the south.

How do I get from the airport to the centre?

You can take the L-22 (Airport-Arrecife) bus from terminals 1 and 2 to the bus station, or the L-23 (Airport-Arrecife) from the same terminals to the bus station. Buses depart every 30 or 40 minutes.

What is the best time to travel to Lanzarote?

Any time of year is good. Lanzarote enjoys an average annual temperature of 22°C and 300 days of sunshine. September and October are the nicest months as there is less wind.

How can I get around the island?

You can use the “guagua” bus service to go from the capital to the different towns, and taxis. There are also boats and ferries that connect Lanzarote with La Graciosa and the other Canary Islands.

Accomodation in Arrecife lets you enjoy the beach and the urban scene. There are plenty of hotels, apartment hotels and apartments to choose from in the three most popular tourist zones: Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise.

Without a doubt. There are many, many options for youngsters, apart from the various beaches, including water parks like the one at Costa Teguise, places where you can go horse or camel riding, and lots of other possibilities.

No, but we recommend you leave a 5%-10% tip on the total value of the bill in a restaurant or taxi if you are satisified with the service.

What are the opening hours for shops and restaurants?

The hours for leisure, shopping, banking and catering adapt to tourist needs. Restaurants open from around 12:00 to 16:00 for lunch, and 20:00 to 24:00 for dinner.
