Grafton Street, Trinity College, Avoca, Dublin Castle, Chester Beatty Library, City Hall, Opium, Neon, Wexford Street

DAY 1 Itinerario

Grafton Street

One of Dublin’s most iconic streets and a great starting point for exploring the city on foot. This pedestrian area is packed with shops and buskers aplenty playing to passers-by.
Adresse Grafton Street
Duration 1 hour 30 minutes

Trinity College

If you walk along Grafton you'll arrive at Trinity College, Dublin's largest educational institution. Of the several areas open to the public, the library is the most impressive.
Adresse College Green, Dublin 2
Duration 1 hour 20 minutes
Price Free admission to the grounds. Enquire about admission prices to individual buildings

Avoca is very close to Trinity College, on Suffolk Street. It's a mini department store with a café and restaurant. You can enjoy your first lunch in Dublin here in this attractive spot.
Adresse 11-13 Suffolk St, Dublin 2
Duration 2 hours
Price Main courses from €9

Dublin Castle

After refuelling, head for Dublin Castle. You can walk there from Avoca in just over five minutes. Visit the official quarters and the gardens to get a better idea of the city's history.
Adresse Saint James's Gate Brewery, South-West Inner City, Dublin
Duration 1 hour
Price Free admission

Chester Beatty Library

The Chester Beatty Library is in the same square as Dublin Castle and home to part of the collections compiled by its founder, a New Yorker with an Irish heart.
Adresse Dublin Castle, Dublin 2
Duration 45 minutes
Price Free admission

City Hall

As almost all official buildings close early, you may not complete your tour, but it's still worth passing by City Hall. It won't take you long from Dublin Castle.
Adresse Wood Quay, Dublin 8
Duration 30 minutes

Why not enjoy an early evening cocktail? A good option is Opium, with its attractive drinks menu.
Adresse 26 Wexford Street, Dublin 2
Duration 1 hour 25 minutes

Much like in most European countries, dinner time in Ireland is around early evening. The city has a lot of Asian restaurants. For an informal and inexpensive meal, we recommend Neon (noodles are their speciality).
Adresse 17 Camden Street, Dublin 2
Duration 1 hour 30 minutes

Wexford Street

Wexford Street is a great place for a night out on the town. It's the best known after Temple Bar and you'll come across fewer tourists there. You’ll definitely want to check out Whelan’s, a popular live music venue for more than 25 years.
Adresse 25 Wexford Street, Dublin 2
