BloemenmarktTulip paradise

Even people who have never set foot in Amsterdam have heard about this flower market, called Bloemenmarkt in Dutch. Its most distinctive feature are the flower stalls set up on barges moored on the bank of the Singel canal. The market’s biggest sellers are its tulip bulbs, one of the country's famous symbols. It's also a great place for picking up gifts to take home.
