Amsterdam Public LibraryMuch more than books

The Central (in Oosterdokskade) or Public Library of Amsterdam is the largest library in the OBA network and the biggest in the Netherlands. Spread over some 28,000 square metres, it was designed by Jo Coenen and is characterised by being an example of a sustainable building. The standout for visitors is probably the top floor, with a restaurant that affords lovely views over the city and a theatre seating an audience of 250.
